African Lanarkshire for Mental Health
African Lanarkshire for Mental Health bridge up the gap in terms of cultural understanding from the main stream organisations in tackling and meeting the needs of Africans around Mental Health issues. African Lanarkshire for Mental Health creates a way of integrating people affected with mental health back in their family and the wide community.

In African community people do not discuss mental health in their families because it is regarded as an embarrassment being or having somebody in the family who is affected with mental health. It causes socially excluded to the person affected with mental health, this result in denial because ofthe fear of being discriminated.

That is why African Lanarkshire for Mental Health is there to organise activities that gradually address the stigma around mental health.
